What size jigsaw do you prefer??

I usually stick with the 1000 - 1500 piece jigsaws. They're manageable, fit in my portapuzzle and I finish them in a reasonable length of time without getting bored. But I know some of you find a 1000 piece jigsaw just isn't challenging enough. For others its too much. How about you? What size do you like best and why?
